Thanks for pointing this out; I'm interested in knowing how much awareness of this testing protocol, its interpretation and potential environmental concerns associated with it is outside of the lab vent geek community.
I'm glad to the UCalifornia system has been able to move away from SF6. I understand SF6 replaced CFC as the tracer gas of choice back in the 1980's to protect the ozone layer - that reminds me of yesterday's webinar on the value of "systems thinking" in chemistry. This would be an interesting frame to look at this application with.
