DCHAS members may be interested in an invited article published in a new Journal, Trends in Chemistry. It's entitled "A Community Approach to Academic Research Safety" and co-authored by Sammye Sigmann, Leah McEwen and I.

The abstract is
"Since 2012, stakeholders have advocated for the need to create a more positive academic research safety culture. Here, we make the case for supporting a paradigm shift from a rule-based culture to a risk-based one. The community structure should include common language, support teams, and education in safety science."

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
