Hi Sammye!
You
could use ASHRAE 110Éone snorkel I have tested actually passed. The problem with snorkels is their effectiveness at providing fume protection diminishes dramatically as air gate moves away from fume source.
Given the difficulty under most lab circumstances to show snorkels do anything, standards are usually not used. Soldering is the only application
I have ever witnessed where some utility to this product can be argued.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Regulations for Snorkels
Oh Wise Ones -
Are there any flow or testing regulations (ANSI or otherwise) for lab snorkels. Any best practice guidelines?
Thanks in advance,
Sammye
