Thank you, Jeff.
UofM has a similar policy. However, this does not state anything about using it off campus and then coming to campus intoxicated. I am looking for guidance
for these types of situations.

Monique,
Here is Michigan Tech's official response to Prop 1:
Jeff

On Tuesday, voters in Michigan passed Proposal 1, which allows people age 21 or older to legally possess, use or distribute marijuana. This result does not change federal law or University policy, both
of which prohibit marijuana in all forms on campus.
Michigan Tech policy prohibits students, employees and members of the public from possessing marijuana for any reason on University property or during any University activity.
The Drug Free Schools and Communities Act precludes Michigan Tech from allowing the possession or use of marijuana on campus. More information on Michigan Tech's policies can be found here.

Does anyone out there have any specific policies for being intoxicated in lab? Now that recreational marijuana has been legalized here, we are considering the ramifications in the chem teaching labs. Though I think a bigger concern is those who come doped up on other things. So, anything on any type of intoxication will do for me.
Thank you,
Monique
