The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Associate Industrial Hygienist. This position performs various routine Industrial Hygiene (IH) tasks including assessing and tracking ventilation equipment such as fume hoods and local exhaust systems, assisting with indoor air quality issues, taking much of the responsibility for the respiratory protection program including fit tests for respirators, and assist in maintaining and calibrating IH equipment. All of this helps ensure that UNR stays in compliance with applicable federal and state health and safety rules.

The University is situated in Reno, a metropolitan area of nearly 400,000 on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada range.
