There's an interesting letter entitled "Glaring Chemical Errors Persist for Years on Wikipedia" in today's Journal of Chemical Education at
http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acs.jchemed.6b00478
It's a good reminder of the strengths and limits of Wikipedia as a source of public information about chemistry issues and a reminder about where a lot of chemical perception comes from.
