A couple of common demos can be miniaturized for table demonstration. The ones we’ve used are instant Coke, blue bottle, and traffic light. Instant Coke is the iodine/starch reaction, the other two are variations
on re-dox reactions. Also, alginate worms and non-newtonian fluid (corn starch and water) are gooey fun. And completely non-hazardous.
If you need details, let me know off line.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Science Expo Ideas
Good Morning-
Our EHS department is participating for the first time in the University-wide science expo and we are trying to come up with some ideas for demonstrations for our theme, “Safe Science”. Just wondering if anyone has ever done anything like
this and could provide some suggestions? Thanks!
