Hello everyone,

I am looking for information to update our best practices for oxygen use in laboratories, particularly guidance for use of isopropyl alcohol for wiping bench tops when oxygen is not in use or the storage of flammables in storage cabinets within the same laboratory.  Another question that I was asked was whether it was OK to use a cigarette lighter for "just a few seconds" to melt plastic for molds (20 feet away).

Any comments or resources are appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Marjorie
