Person or People in the Photo
Working with chemicals and/or lab equipment
- Wearing splash goggles
- Apron or closed Lab coat
- Protective gloves when appropriate
- Long hair tied back
- No dangling jewelry
- No loose clothing or outerwear
- Closed toe shoes
Environment in the Photo
- Proper equipment for the task
- Appropriate containment (safety) equipment for task
- Proper equipment set ups
- Containers properly labeled
- Neutralizing materials in view
- No flammables near heat source
- Electrical wires in good condition (not frayed)
- Cords and hoses properly attached and of the correct length
- Colorful liquids used where possible (labeled solutions should not be artificially coloured)
- Correct pouring position
- Instructor present in full class view
- No food present
- Secondary containment when necessary
