I wanted to point out that Jyllian Kemsley's Safety Zone blog post yesterday covers the American Chemical Society report on "Advancing Graduate Education in the Chemical Sciences" as it address the question of laboratory safety education for graduate students. In addition to statements describing the importance of this issue, both to the institutions and the future employers of the students, Jyllian excerpts include sections of the report that discuss how institutional safety programs should be financed.
