Hi Wayne:
If the concentration is in micro molar in buffers, those chemicals can go to the sink. If those chemicals are mixed with the organic solvents, treat them as a hazardous waste.

One of our labs will be using N-ethylmaleimide & 3-nitrophenolic acid in tiny quantities, less than mmol. Should we treat this as hazardous chemical waste or could we pour them down the sink?
