Subject: Re: [DCHAS-L] House Air Pressure
Frank,
We run ours at 150 PSI. Many of the analytical instruments require
pressures between 80 and 120 PSI. We run above that and use instrument
specific regulators. We're also linked to the machine shop, and they
need similar pressures.
I know that 250 PSI is a pretty standard number. ASTM which writes the
certification procedures is tiered. So up to a certain pressure you
fall under one certification and at higher pressures you fall under
another. Each test is relatively expensive, so manufacturers will
certify up to whatever tier they want. I can look, but I'm pretty sure
the first tier is at 300.
-MikeDoes anyone in the group know if there is a specific pressure limit forlaboratory house air pressure? 30 psi?Frank R.
