This course is designed to address environmental, occupational healt h and safety in the healthcare industry and other institutions. Institutions include: hospitals, nursi ng homes, assisted living facilities, medical offices, universities, school districts, municipalities, correctional facilities, veterinary clinics and government agencies. Studen ts will learn to recognize, evaluate and control hazards in these unique wo rking environments; develop and implement procedures, programs to address t hese risks; and to achieve regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, JCAHO).
