We have started a "Topics in Lab Safety" course this year at our
university which is a 1.0 credit hour course which is mandatory for
students who are doing research. I am hoping to exand this to include
all chem students and also science education majors. We are using the
ACS text for the course

Are there any institutions that offer a safety course (quarter- or
semester-long) for academic credit? This would be outside of course
work for a degree in health and safety. I know there are institutions
that require lab safety training before students can begin work but I'm
interested in an academic course, either required or elective.
