Salisbury University offers a one credit Laboratory Safety co urse required by its chemistry majors.
We have offered this over the past 20 y ears.
We feel it is a successful course and introduces the students to many to pics that they might not get through other courses and laboratory introduct ions.
Class has a prerequisite of General chemistry.

b> [DCHAS-L] Safety Course for Academic Credit
Excuse the cross -posting:
Are there any institutions that offer a safety course (quarter- or
semester-long) for academic credit? This would be outside of course w
ork for a degree in health and safety. I know there are institutions
that require lab safety training before students can begin work but I’
;m interested in an academic course, either required or elective.
Thanks!
