Subject: Re: Fume hood fan replacement

Thoughts....

Assuming that former system (before requiring new fan) was acceptable, review new TAB documents showing same airflow and pressure conditions as e xisted in prior system.   This could be all that's nece ssary but it depends on factors not easily surmised in a simply DCHAS post.   You may want to perform your own representative field measurements/v erifications to ensure new system components have not affected speed of res ponse of VAV dampers, etc.  Nor is a representative full ASHRAE 1 10 test or more ever a bad exercise in my opinion.

Wishing you success,

Hello--
Does anyone have any thoughts or policies for test requirements for a system
of VAV fume hoods after a fan replacement? Do you have a specific protocol
or is full ASHRAE 110 testing required or recommended? As installed? As
use d? Any thoughts or comments would be helpful.
Thanks,
Marjorie Markop oulos
