If you are storing small lecture cylinders horizontally, I would suggest ha ving a secured area which to keep them from rolling and likewise provide va lve protection, such as a bin, a dedicated spot in a hood or storage cabine t with a strap to hold them in place, etc. - or to get a cylinder cart in w hich they could sit vertically. We recommend SAFTCART. The compressed gas industry is trying to move away from lecture bottles. Th ere are many options for smaller cylinders available. Lecture bottles hava a tendancy to sit around a long time and expire, corrode, become unstable, etc. They are single-fill cylinders which means the filler does not want th em back. they are a pain for the customer (who must purchase them outright, typically) to dispose.
