We use chloroprene gloves for chloroform. =A0They fit as well or better than many nitrile gloves, with a good feel. =A0Here's a link to the chemical resistance chart.

We work with a phenol/TCE mixture under conditions that require much dexterity. The best option we found is to use lunch lady type gloves as the bottom layer and then nitrile and neoprene type exam gloves over that.=A0 So basically triple gloving and changing often.=A0

I have talked to many glove manufacturers and they do not have anything that offers great dexterity and protection especially from chloroform, which we often use too.=A0 For chloroform they generally recommend a PVA glove, but those do not come in any size/shape that offers dexterity either.=A0

All -
We use a viton-butyl glove (about 12 mils thick)=A0 for handling this=A0
mixture, but some researchers state that they are too bulky for the type=A0
of work they do.

Is anyone aware of a lighter weight alternative?=A0 As a point of=A0
reference, exam type gloves are around 4 - 6 mils thick.

Regards,

Larry
