Robert, For reliable toxic information, refer to the multi-volume work edited by Eula Bingham, et al. called "Patty's Toxicology", published by Wiley Interscience. Also, I find the toxic and reactivity information in the current Aldrich catalog of chemicals to be useful. And for reactivity hazards of course, there is nothing better than the two volumes of "Bretherick's Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards", Edited by Peter Urben et al. and published by Academic Press.
