We asked the teacher at a RCRA training about infectious cultures in
agar. She said that once they have been autoclaved they are no longer
infectious. Then you just have agar, which can be thrown away. Looks
like some of your media have more than just organisms and agar, though.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience in trying to determine how
to dispose of liquid cell culture media, whether it should be rendered
non-infectious by autoclaving, disposed of as biological waste or taken
away by a hazardous waste hauler as non-hazardous waste. I have listed
the constituents below for reference and any help will be appreciated.
