Something simple and cheap that works is to set up a simple paraffin bath  
with a couple of rollers. Place the bottle on the rollers and turn.    This 
leaves a thin, transparent coating on the bottle that prevents mold, rot,  and 
cockroaches from eating the glue on the label causing the label to fall  off.
