Javier,

I would refer you to:
1)  Your local Fire Marshal;
2)	NFPA-45 "Standard on Fire Protection for Laboratories Using
Chemicals"
3)	NFPA-99 "Standard on Fire Protection for Health Care Facilities"
4)	CDC/NIH "Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories"
5)	The Semiconductor Safety Association

As others have said, where you are (what fire jurisdiction you are under)
and precisely what kind of laboratories you are dealing with are primary
decision criteria in answering your question.

Good morning Gentlemen and ladies,

I would like to ask you all a question. Are there any regulations when
it comes to laboratory structure (new or old structures)? Regulations or
requirements such fire alarm, fire-sprinkler heads, smoke detectors,
etc.

Javier Medina
