In Washington State, the Health Department has within it a Radiation Protection Group. They will remove items such as these. The Illinois EPA has been conducting cleanups of hazardous materials but will not remove radioactive materials. This helps get rid of old sealed sources and the ancient bottle of uranium acetate. I wonder if other states are doing a similar program.
