I use colored Wax, which tells me what year a jar was sealed, and that way I can tell if a bottle goes too long with out being opened or used. It allows me to keep tabs on stock in an extra way, besides the date purchased. Also it makes it easy to tell at a glance,to employees Pull all green waxed jars that are unopened, they are X years old. Compile a list, so we can make arrangements for their disposal. I've also considered using colored wax for storage classification, but I use other codes on the bottles for that.
