I learned a lot collaborating on these in the last year. Hope to do some more.
Am now writing a chapter on Pyrophoric Materials and one on Semiconductor Fab Emergency Response for the Semiconductor Manufacturing Risk Handbook. Was lots of fun looking back at the development and use of the ER Devices I got 6 patents on. Went down memory lane with my 30 years of pyrophoric release testing of silane, disilane, phosphine, trimethylaluminum, trisilane, diborane. Can’t forget blowing up the gas cabinet with silane in 2006 or trying to burn one up with trimethylaluminum. Those videos get’s everyones attention when I do training or presentations on pyrophoric chemicals.
Also the many interesting HazMat incidents I get to manage or consult on. Just finished one today on a butane hash oil extraction cylinder. Hope to post my summary in the future
