Back in 2015, I presented a talk titled "12,232 Thoughts on Laboratory Safety in 25 Minutes or Less" at the Boston ACS Meeting which was based on Ralph Stuart's and my effort to ensure the pearls of wisdom on the list are forever preserved: https://acsdchas.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/m3-toreki-12000-thoughts.pdf--- For more information about the DCHAS-L e-mail list, contact the Divisional membership chair at membership**At_Symbol_Here**dchas.org Follow us on Twitter **At_Symbol_Here**acsdchasAt the time, that's how many archived posts we had on this listserv. As part of that talk, I had constructed a top 25 list of posters and topics by year for comparison. I couldn't remember how I automated that, so I decided with the new year I would figure it out again so I can start this as an annual New Year=E2=80™s tradition.2021 had less traffic than the past several years: 1,536 articles. The total number of posts is now 24,833. Ralph wears a couple of hats, so it is no surprise he captures the top 3 slots by poster. The top 25 posters of 2021 were:
Name # of posts Ralph Stuart 178 Chemical Safety Headlines 150 CHAS membership 131 Monona Rossol 58 Richard Palluzi 56 CHAS membership chair 44 Rob Toreki 40 James Kaufman 31 Neal Langerman 28 Yaritza Brinker 27 Jessica Martin 24 Eugene Ngai 23 Jeffrey Lewin 22 Peter Zavon 21 CHAS imap account 20 Margaret Rakas 19 John Callen 18 Debbie Decker 17 Jack Reidy 16 Alfred Barksdale 15 Dr Bob 15 Peter Reinhardt 13 Tilak Chandra 13 Harry Elston 12 Monique Wilhelm 12 For the subjects, I wrote a script that figured out each topic and counted all of its replies. The one exception is the line titled (original CSH posts only) which does NOT count replies. As you can see, the # of CSH posts corresponds to the number by poster Chemical Safety Headlines above, and is consistent with a normally 3x a week headline delivery. The top 25 topics of 2021 were:
