Environmental Health & Safety
Department is now accepting applications for an Occupational Safety Coordinator. Duties include but not limited to:
oversight of the biological safety cabinet testing and certification program, biomedical waste management, indoor air quality investigation, administering blood-borne pathogens training and reviewing research protocols
submitted to the Institutional Biosafety Committee.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in physics, chemistry,
biology, or a related field; plus two years of experience in occupational health and safety or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in biological, microbiological or biomedical safety
Working hours are Monday Thru Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm. Starting salary is $42,386.
