Also you could have a look at Labconscious. See links below. I've shutdown labs several times and it is surprisingly difficult to find a home for excess lab supplies. Also, for chemicals I would strongly recommend some sort of Materials Transfer Agreement to help minimize liability to your institution.

I'm using this transition time to get rid of decades of accumulated chemicals, equipment and supplies (before I send them to Waste or trash).
Can anyone suggest a forum for FREE chemical supplies? I have exhausted the local colleges and high schools.
