Good on you, Sam.  And one of the things that has always bothered me is so many chemists I see using thin examining gloves without understanding that the manufacturers do not recommend they be used for chemical handling.  Even Kimberly Clark that does put out a breakthrough time chart for their nitrile gloves says clearly it is just FYI and that they do not approve the gloves for chemical handling.  Further they say clearly that if a chemical splash gets on the glove it should be immediately removed and discarded.

Hi Jessica - Do you want permeation rate, breakthrough time, or both?  Permeation rate is not as critical unless you intend to wear the glove past the breakthrough time.

For nitrile, make sure you note the thickness when you are comparing breakthrough times.

Hi all,

I am looking for a chart of chemical permeation of different types of gloves - BUT I am trying to find one that isn't produced by a for-profit company.

Does anyone know if this exists? If so, link would be most helpful!

Thanks!
