Fellows will receive $5,000 to be used for any purpose. Fellows must give an oral or poster presentation of their research at the 25th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference, held June 14-16, 2021, in Reston, Virginia. The research must focus on one of three areas, 1) the use of greener synthetic pathways, 2) the use of greener reaction conditions, or 3) the design of greener chemicals.
| | Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Student Award | The Kenneth G. Hancock Memorial Student Award recognizes up to two students for their outstanding contributions to furthering the goals of green chemistry. Recipients of this award receive a $1,000 cash prize in addition to up to $1,000 in travel support to attend and present their research at ACS GCI's 25th Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference, held June 14-16, 2021, in Reston, Virginia. This award is open to U.S. and international students and is sponsored by the ACS Division of Environmental Chemistry and the National Institute of Standards & Technology.
| | Dr. Joseph Breen Memorial Fellowship | This fellowship sponsors travel (up to $2,000) for up to two young scholars to attend a green chemistry technical meeting, conference or training program. Scholars from the undergraduate level up through the first seven years of a professional career, from any country, are eligible. Applicants must demonstrate research or educational interest in green chemistry and give an oral or poster presentation at an international green chemistry meeting of their choice.
| | Ciba Travel Awards in Green Chemistry | Four travel awards, up to $2,000 each, are available for U.S. high school, undergraduate and graduate students who have an interest in green chemistry research or education.
