Hi All,
In the video, she is pouring molasses and was in a kitchen. I don't see the need for safety glasses in this case.
Jim, Marta and ALL:
Spending my entire post-Ph.D. career in industry and at 3M, I found that very often marketing & communications personnel would “go it alone” for an applications photo shoot without anyone else. I changed that when I moved from the R&D Lab into Technical Service Department in the 3M Personal Safety Division. I as well as others always accompanied marketing & communications personnel so that even though the photo shoot was going to feature, for example a respirator or hearing protectors, we made sure that the model was not only donning that product correctly but also was wearing the all the appropriate PPE for that those photo(s) as well as any other equipment which might be appropriate for that scene, e.g., fire extinguishers, spill control sorbent pads or booms, etc.
Just like peer review for journal articles, someone should review photos for technical, health and safety correctness before they are published.
BE Safe, Secure & Sound, Vigilant as Always and Stay Well!
All My Best,
John B. Callen, Ph.D.[extensive requote chain removed for brevity and due to parsing error]
