Copper and Silver is shown to harbor viable microbes virus, bacterial and possibly spores on average less time than other surfaces.

I doubt it would be effective as a film but I would be curious to see the studies.   Most compounds have  a dwell time needed to destroy virus and other microbes.   I'm curious what that would be, and if it would be both efficacious  and practical.

Is it a sticky surface or organic material that collects more dirt and grime than it can neutralize.   Is it harder to clean and if Is gets dirty, would it pose a greater risk than just easy to clean stainless or brass.

Silver in various forms has been show to impact bacterial cells, as noted in the silverdefender link below.  I have never seen anything suggesting that silver impacts viral viability.

This is what I was thinking of when I misread the word "antimicrobial" as "antibacterial" at the beginning of this thread.

Are you referring to "Microban" type products?

Hi Everyone,

Copying a question I saw in another group, does anyone have used antimicrobial-type tapes for highly touched areas?

Can you share your thoughts?

Thank you,

Alessandra
