Hi Jessica - Here is one.

Hi all,
I have had many conversations over the last year with EH&S personnel at multiple universities about the idea of EH&S departments shifting from the role of being ‰??the compliance police‰?? to working more closely with researchers on sensible approaches to safety in basic academic research. å Some changes include the development of an Office of Research Safety and the idea of departments housing a safety professional knowledgable about the type of research in the building (i.e. chemists, molecular biologists, etc) to function as a connection between research departments and safety compliance. å I have heard many other great ideas and approaches.
What I am looking for now is publications that have tracked and/or commented on these transitions that I can cite and/or share with researchers. å To that end, please share with me your top publications covering these types of issues. å I appreciate any help you can provide!
Thank you so much!
