JOB TITLE: Manager of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
REPORTS TO: President and Vice President SUPERVISES: N/A
JOB SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for global regulatory compliance related to specialty chemicals formulated by Avista for use in water treatment membrane systems, and management of related assets including but not limited to: GHS SDS’s and product labels.
JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW/OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for:
1. Managing compliance as it relates to regulatory agencies including, but not limited to: National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), EPA, Kosher, Halal, DWi, Health Canada HMIRA, OSHA, San Diego County Haz Mat, D.O.T, and IATA.
2. Developing and implementing a world class quality and regulatory compliance system that meets the requirements of all regulatory agencies and the requirements of our customers.
3. Developing and maintaining compliance systems including a. quality statement
b. document control procedures
c. management of controlled documents
d. issuing uncontrolled documents
e. collecting, formatting, authoring, and approving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
f. managing customer complaint process
g. conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
h. managing associated Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA) process
4. Ensuring ongoing compliance with procedures and requirements related to NSF and ANSI/Standard 60. This involves compliance with NSF, and management of product labels, SDS’s, the CAPA process, product and establishment registrations.
5. Ensuring the Company’s compliance with internal and external guidelines, procedures and requirements.
6. Guaranteeing products, processes, and documents meet all necessary standards and requirements.
7. Complete and submit state discharge permits as requested by customers (i.e. NYSDEC, etc.).
8. Securing third party Security Plans and filing
