Nashville Firefighters and HAZMAT crews were able to contain what crews called a "major" ammonia leak at the Coca-Cola plant in Berry Hill.
Crews on the scene confirmed that they evacuated employees at the plant, but no one was injured from the exposure.
The leak was bad enough for crews to have to shut down roads in a 1-square-mile radius around the plant at 407 Craighead Street.

Jamshedpur, Oct 13: A fire broke out in a chemical factory at Patelnagar under Sitaramdera police station area on Saturday. Flames erupted from the factory and threatened to engulf the apartments situated nearby. Several household appliances were burnt in the mishap. However, no casualty was reported in the incident. Local residents registered a written complaint with the local police station. They alleged that the factory was being run in an illegal manner. They sought stringent legal action against the factory owners and manager.

SHAH ALAM: Prompt action by the public in contacting firefighters after seeing thick smoke coming out of an empty warehouse in Jalan Meru, Kapar, near here, yesterday led to the discovery of a drug processing laboratory.
Selangor Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department chief ACP R. Sundralingam said based on items found at the scene, the warehouse was believed to have been used for processing methamphetamine.
‰??Following the incident, police arrested two local men, aged 52 and 47, to assist in investigations,‰?? he said when contacted here yesterday.
Bernama learnt that the thick smoke from the warehouse was caused by chemical mixture used in the drug production process.
Klang Fire and Rescue Department chief Samsol Maarif Saibani said they received information from the public about the incident at 9.57am before rushing to the scene.

ORANGE (CBS) ‰?? Route 2 has been shut down in both directions after a tanker truck carrying methane gas rolled over in Orange Friday night.
The driver suffered serious injuries and the truck is believed to be leaking methane, State Police said.
The crash happened in the vicinity of Exit 14 and the area was being evacuated.
Troopers, firefighters and Hazmat officials have responded.

A 20-year-old worker was injured when a major fire broke out in a chemical godown in north-east Delhi‰??s Sonia Vihar on Friday afternoon, the police said.
DCP (North-East) Ved Prakash Surya said a PCR call was received at 12 p.m. regarding a fire in a godown in Sonia Vihar. Sixteen fire tenders were pressed into service. It has been found that a thinner was kept in the godown.
‰??Three workers ‰?? Ajay, Bhola, and Vicky ‰?? were present at the time of the incident. While two of them managed to leave, Ajay sustained minor burn injuries in his hand,‰?? Mr. Surya said, adding that the injured was taken to a private hospital. During the incident, a pick-up truck, two two-wheelers and other articles kept in the godown were gutted in the fire. The owner has been identified and legal action has been taken.

VIRUDHUNAGAR: A worker died in a blast at a firecracker manufacturing unit near Sivakasi in Virudhunagar district on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Muthupandi, 50, of Alamarathupati village.
The blast took place at the Sri Ravindra Fireworks, owned by Baskaran, in Zameensalvarpatti village when Muthupandi was mixing chemicals for the manufacture of chakra variety firework. He died on the spot. A shed where he was working was gutted.

HINSDALE ‰?? About 20 homes were evacuated Thursday afternoon as the N.H. State Police bomb squad responded to an abandoned house to dispose of several suspected pipe bombs, multiple grenade hulls, explosive powder and other materials.
Bomb technicians found three functional pipe bombs at 108 Indian Acres Drive, according to Sgt. Jeffrey D. Dade, the squad‰??s commander. ‰??They were fully functional pipe bombs that were rendered safe.‰??
Two other suspected pipe bombs were rendered inert, he said.
Technicians also found about 30 pounds of explosive powder, a similar weight of degrading consumer-grade fireworks, multiple smoke grenades, multiple grenade hulls that were deemed inert and tear-gas devices, the Hinsdale Police Department said in a Facebook post Thursday evening.
The materials were all safely removed, and State Police were working to dispose of them.
The home was previously owned by Mitchell P. ‰??Pete‰?? Karpinski, who died in February at the age of 72, according to online death notices, which say he lived in Brattleboro.
