The Yale Office of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) has an awesome opportunity for an Instructional Designer. One of the world’s premier universities, Yale provides generous benefits and strongly supports EHS. On the Long Island sound, New Haven has outstanding arts, dining, theater and other culture, and is close to all the beauty of New England and fun of New York City.

Our Instructional Designer will be responsible for communication, adult learning and crafting effective tools and methods to teach safety skills and knowledges to students, faculty and staff.  The incumbent will identify, develop and deliver instructional strategies using traditional media as well as video, multimedia and web technologies. The successful candidate will have the ability to understand learning objectives and formulate communications that convey knowledge and skills to our audience, who vary greatly in age, experience and learning styles. Our highly productive workplace thrives on teamwork and people who have a positive, can-do attitude.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Instructional Design or related field and three years of demonstrated experience in instructional design, eLearning course design and development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent writing, speaking, training, and technical skills are required.
