I put a link in today's headlines summary to a story about the "Under the Sink" educational campaign from Ireland about household chemical safety. I think that their materials are valuable enough to highlight with a separate post. Links to the student and teacher materials can be found in the center column at
http://www.hsa.ie/eng/Education/

In addition to an interesting graphical approach to making the point at children don't see what adults see when they look at marketing-oriented chemical containers, the presentations include links to other useful materials. These other materials include the EU's Napo videos on chemical safety and an interesting Dutch outreach video about how to raise parental awareness about chemical concerns in the home.

I think that it's an interesting approach to addressing chemical safety perceptions in home settings. These perceptions often carry over into the workplace and lab cultures.
