Alarming when opened at the incorrect sash height or somehow not being used properly is to be left in alarm until they correct the situation. Any fume hood
not functioning properly, including alarms, are tagged out of service until the issue is resolved.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Policy for Alarming Fume Hood
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone has a campus policy on safe fume hood use that could be shared. Specifically I am looking for procedures to follow when a fume hood (or multiple hoods) alarms.
Best,
Penny
