Good morning Melissa,
I want to say good luck and don't make the stress get to you. Many others have made some great comments and suggestions.
Make sure to do your homework and beware of the backroom deals. Get constant updates on blue prints or sketches. Also beware of adminstration because the architects try to make everyone happy.
I went through a new building planning and setup in 2013 and it was a nightmare. We are still moving things and we outgrew our current new space. Please do you home work, keep all communications pertaining to the building and keep pushing for the right and safe way. Everything looks great on paper but it is not practical.
