Very good point, Meg.  I have found that goggles with the more flexible seal do seal much better on a variety of faces and am now recommending the Stealth goggles to students because of this.

 

 

 

As a very small adult, I had to hunt to find small splash guard safety goggles, since adult sized ones cannot seal to my small face.  This is also a problem with trying to get goggles the right size for children.  One day I got an ad flyer from Flinn and found out that they do carry and sell child sized goggles, even though they generally aren't listed in their catalog.  I used to buy two dozen at a time, since even some adults (my smaller college students, and me) need small goggles.  I would trade the students for the adult sized pair they got at the bookstore, and give them a small pair instead.  After all, what good is a splash guard goggle that doesn't fit to the face of the wearer?

I received the following from a colleague in the

Philadelphia area:

"I am looking for some advice. I am helping my local

elementary school (210 students) implement a STEM lab grant

they received. I am working on getting them beakers etc but

in addition, they asked about safety equipment (I was so

glad they asked). Do you know of a supplier for small eye

wash stations etc, anything they might need for this type of

setting? Thanks for any advice!"

How about some suppliers who address this market and also

suggestions for safety equipment, not just PPE, that should

be in the classroom.
