Neal - I just co-authored a book titled
"Safer Makerspaces, Fab Labs, and STEM Labs: A Collaborative
Guide!"å It is the only book on the planet currently
addressing safety in makerspaces, fab labs and STEM labs.å
It does cover planning for STEM labs, equipment, and much
more.å Information on the book for sharing
with your colleague can be found at: https://sites.google.com/a/vt.edu/safetybook2017/. I think it will be helpful for them.

Thanks -

Ken

I received the following from a
colleague in
the
Philadelphia area:

"I am looking for some advice. I am
helping my local
elementary school (210 students)
implement a STEM lab grant
they received. I am working on
getting
them beakers etc but
in addition, they asked about safety
equipment (I was so
glad they asked). Do you know of a
supplier for small eye
wash stations etc, anything they
might
need for this type of
setting? Thanks for any advice!"

How about some suppliers who address
this market and also
suggestions for safety equipment, not
just PPE, that should
be in the classroom.

Thanks

Neal
