Regarding the alert about 1-bromopropane, I just checked my own chemical
inventory database, and found that I had removed this compound from use in
our Organic Chem teaching labs back in October 2014, based on its having
just been classified by the U.S. Government as a known carcinogen. If
California has just added that concern now, it seems to be surprisingly
behind the curve on this one.
