Yesterday Toledo, OH had a fire at Lithium Innovations, a processor of small amounts of lithium. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. I learned from an radio news cast today that "toxic lithium gas" is being released. Interesting chemistry or inadequate teaching of high school chemistry?
