There's nothing in the PPE language from OSHA which will help you directly in your quest.
But the University of California may be able to help. We have a systemwide policy that basically requires lab workers to be covered from collarbone to toes Ð
which would include that bare ankle (they'll wear ballet flats, too, and expose the tops of their feet).

Hi all-
I need help with a lab concern about proper lab PPE. I had a question about yoga/ spandex pants. Some of our undergraduate students use these pants and their ankles are exposed because they wear low cut socks and sneakers. Is there anything in the PPE
