Considerations for Chemical Disposal Webinar - Registration URL: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/1687396679330317827

Jenny Bishoff will be discussing a four-part approach to chemical disposal: Planning, Collecting, Storage, and Disposal.  Specific topics include legal issues, before-lab planning, segregation of incompatible wastes, hazmat pickup, and sources for more information about the disposal process. This webinar is a follow up to Jenny’s Managing Chemical Wastes in the High School Lab in the May 2016 issue of Chemistry Solutions.  Jenny has been teaching high school chemistry in Western Maryland for 10 years. She currently works with the American Chemical Society Task Force for Safety Education Guidelines to help develop materials for chemistry teachers at all grade levels.

Chemistry Classroom Safety Cleanup Pledge

Sign up for the Safety Pledge to motivate your lab, stockroom, or classroom cleaning and organizing efforts at the end of this school year.

It's hard to squeeze in time at the end of the year, so we want to provide a small incentive.  We’re asking teachers of chemistry to commit to at least one hour of cleanup at the end of the school year. For pledging hours and coming back to record your hours, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a grand prize of $200 gift card to Flinn Scientific! You'll also receive a certificate indicating hours spent.
