Greetings all,
I have a researcher who is proposing to build a vacuum chamber in his lab that is an evacuated tube that is 4.5 m in length and approximately 30 cm in diameter. What immediately came to mind is implosion concerns, shielding for the user,
room shielding (basement lab)? Should pressure testing of the equipment be required?
If you have worked with this before or something similar, would you be willing to share? Any lessons learned or SOPs that may be helpful?
Thank you,
