Hi Barbara,

We buy special funnels (Part #8227) for our containers from a company called Safety First (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.safetyfirstsupplies.com_Our-5FProducts.html&d=CwIFAw&c=lb62iw4YL4RFalcE2hQUQealT9-RXrryqt9KZX2qu2s&r=meWM1Buqv4IQ27AlK1OJRjcQl09S1Zta6YXKalY_Io0&m=afbJG0uUWdIdMbsbAHZuaRonmMdRn7yCCfjb-9Yo3W0&s=mX-g4PbFrHkQXkz27ZODN8riU2FqhA1Aa8G0HYYcTps&e= ). This funnel might be too big for a 5 gallon can, we use 30 gallon containers, but call the company and they can help you get what you need. Ours are vented and include a flame arrestor in it.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] 5-gallon waste container with vented lid

Does anyone currently use 5-gallon waste containers with vented lids (not a side vent, but a vent in the main lid)?
If so, could you please forward the vendor information to me?
I currently have vented lids for the 4-L bottles, but some of my researchers need larger containers.
(Eco funnels are not permitted at my institution.) Thanks very much!
Barbara
