The interesting part to me is:
The research came about by accident; Assistant professor of bioengineering, William Grover had bought a 3D printer for his research, and his graduate student, Shirin Mesbah Oskui wanted to use the printer to develop tools for her research in studying zebrafish embryos. However, the embryos died after being exposed to the 3D-printed parts.
Sounds like the traditional pattern of how risk science proceeds‰?|
