UCSF EH&S open positions:

 

EH&S Clinical  & IH Program Manager

The Clinical and Industrial Hygiene Program Manager supports the Medical Center and Campus Environment, Health, and Safety functions. The Program Manager provides technical input to the following committees: Environment of Care, Chemical & Environmental Safety Committee, EH&S Users Advisory Committee, Medical Center, EH&S Emergency Response Team Management, UC-wide IH groups and subcommittees, etc.

 

The CIH Program Manager has staff industrial hygienists who are responsible for EOC compliance, asbestos program, lead, PCBs,  Hospital Safety Rounds, occupational and environmental exposure monitoring and evaluation, noise surveys, Medical Center bio-aerosol sampling, Medical Center water quality monitoring, accident investigations, agency liaison, sanitation inspections, indoor air quality investigations, respiratory protection program, chemical exposure monitoring, Health and Safety audits, training programs, and other related Industrial Hygiene disciplines. The Clinical/Industrial Hygiene Program Manager requires the highest level of ethics and professional standards to handle highly sensitive matters with tact and sound judgment.

EH&S HMM & Environmental Program Manager

The Manager of Hazardous Materials Management and Environmental Programs (HMM) directs and oversees the following broad programs:  Radioactive Materials Receipt and Distribution; Radioactive Waste Collection Processing and Disposal; Radiation Services (survey instrument calibration, bioassays, wipe tests, nuclear medicine and radiation oncology patient support services); Hazardous Chemical Waste Collection Processing and Disposal; Medical Waste Collection Processing and Disposal; Safety Equipment compliance (fume hoods, emergency eyewash, deluge shower) and Hazardous Materials and Environmental Permitting (Underground Storage Tanks, Above Ground Storage Tanks, Industrial Waste Water Discharge, Storm Water Management, Refrigeration Management, Medical Waste Generators, Hazardous Waste Shipping, Emergency Diesels, Generators, Boilers and Turbines, Risk Management Plans and other duties as assigned). 

 

This position requires the highest level of ethics and professional standards to handle highly sensitive matters with tact and sound judgment. The Manager will assist EH&S Executive Director and other EH&S managers and staff in making decisions to manage within budget guidelines and targets.
