Good afternoon--

I am asking you to forward this if you know someone who is a solid, smart worker who also would meet the criteria and benefit from working at Smith.

To that end, at the bottom of this email there is a position description for a Laboratory Services Specialist that reports to me; it's a mix of purchasing and EHS, good for someone who is technical and wants variety in their work life. I don't expect prior waste handling experience--I will train, AND we don't pour off, so it's all containerized--but but they do need prior experience with lab safety/health/hazwaste issues, either in academia or in the corporate world...

Smith College, located in Northampton Massachusetts, is a great place to work, with excellent benefits and a beautiful science/engineering complex. Northampton is part of the Five Colleges (UMass-Amherst, Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mt. Holyoke College and Smith), is roughly 104 miles from Boston and 45 miles from Hartford; a little over 2 hours from NYC. There's lots going on in the Happy Valley year-round...

Please have them contact me with any questions--

Here's the link to the online application site (from the menu on the left, choose "browse jobs"), and the position description can be accessed either in full below or at that website, since the listserv doesn't accept attachments...:

Many thanks!
